Further Remarks on First-order Infinitesimal Mechanisms
This paper analyses a particular structural assembly that has two independent inextensional mechanisms and two independent states of self-stress. It is shown that, for certain values of a variable bar length, this assembly is a first-order infinitesimal mechanism; and yet it cannot be stiffened by the imposition of a state of prestress.
متن کاملOn microlocal analyticity of solutions of first-order nonlinear PDE
— We study the microlocal analyticity of solutions u of the nonlinear equation ut = f(x, t, u, ux) where f(x, t, ζ0, ζ) is complex-valued, real analytic in all its arguments and holomorphic in (ζ0, ζ). We show that if the function u is a C2 solution, σ ∈ CharLu and 1 i σ([Lu, Lu]) < 0 or if u is a C3 solution, σ ∈ CharLu, σ([Lu, Lu]) = 0, and σ([Lu, [Lu, Lu]]) 6= 0, then σ / ∈WFau. Here WFau de...
متن کاملRemarks on Q-calculus and Integrability
Integrable systems such as qKP have been frequently studied in recent years (see e.g. [1, 2, 8, 9, 10, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 29, 30]). Also various noncommutative (NC) integrable models connecting frequently to Moyal deformations arise in the literature (see e.g. [7, 14, 15, 16, 22, 23]). In view of the intimate relations between integrable systems, differential calculi, and virtually all asp...
متن کاملSingular perturbations and first order PDE on manifolds
In this Note we present some results concerning the concentration of sequences of first eigenfunctions on the limit sets of a Morse–Smale dynamical system on a compact Riemannian manifold. More precisely a renormalized sequence of eigenfunctions converges to a measure μ concentrated on the hyperbolic sets of the field. The coefficients which appear in the limit measure can be characterized usin...
متن کاملOn the second order first zagreb index
Inspired by the chemical applications of higher-order connectivity index (or Randic index), we consider here the higher-order first Zagreb index of a molecular graph. In this paper, we study the linear regression analysis of the second order first Zagreb index with the entropy and acentric factor of an octane isomers. The linear model, based on the second order first Zag...
